摘要
与西方道德哲学通行的理性、感性两分法不同,自孔子创立儒学开始,其内部便是智性、欲性、仁性的三分结构。从《论语》中分疏出三分法,牢牢抓住这个特点,对于彰显儒家思想特质极为重要。它不仅有助于了解休谟伦理难题何以在孔子身上无法立身,为解决这个困扰西方哲学数百年的问题提供儒家独特的智慧,更有利于认清儒学发展"一源两流"的现象,正确看待孟子与荀子、心学与理学的关系,从而形成一个将双方融合为一的有机系统,终结正宗旁出之争。
Differing from Western moral philosophy,which is shaped by the dichotomy of reason and emotion,Confucianism,since its founding,has embraced an inherent tripartite structure of intellectuality,human desire,and benevolence.It is essential to extrapolate this structure from the Analects,to demonstrate the distinguishing features of Confucian ideas.The trichotomy helps to explain why Confucius is not faced with Hume’s ethical dilemma,offering unique Confucian wisdom to solve the dilemma which has plagued Western philosophy over hundreds of years;moreover,it provides a perspective to understand the development of Confucianism in terms of"two streams from one source,"which synthesizes both the thoughts of Mencius and Xunzi,and the school of mind and the school of principle,thus putting an end to the ongoing dispute over which is the orthodox teachings of Confucius.
