On the Development Orientation of Industrial Universities in the Background of Popular Higher Education

摘要我国高等教育规模发展已步入普及化阶段,行业性高校扮演着重要角色。这是一个数量庞大、覆盖面广的群体,具有不可替代性。确立行业性高校发展定位,必须明确其特性和职能。概而言之,行业性高校具有历史性、经济性、平民性和文化性等四大特性。与其他高校一样,行业性高校具有教育、研究和服务等三大职能,但其内涵具有显著的差异,主要表现为教育职能的行业定向性、研究职能的行业应用性和服务职能的行业对应性。在高等教育普及化背景下,行业性高校必须进行科学定位,重塑与行业的关系,在社会和高等教育发展的坐标中找到自身的位置,以培养全面发展的人为出发点建构学科专业结构,以及建立协调可持续发展的办学体系。 The scale development of higher education in China has stepped into the stage of popularization,and industrial universities have played an important role.This is a large group of institutions of higher education with a wide coverage,which is irreplaceable.It is necessary to define the characteristics and functions of industrial colleges and universities in order to establish their development orientation.Generally speaking,industrial colleges and universities have four characteristics:historical,economic,civilian and cultural.Like other colleges and universities,they have three functions of education,research and service with their own features and connotation,which are mainly manifested in industry orientation of education,industry application of research and industry correspondence of service.Under the background of the popularization of higher education,industrial colleges and universities must carry out scientific positioning through reshaping the relationship with the industry,finding their own position in the coordinates of the development of society and higher education,constructing structure of disciplines and specialties based on the cultivation of all-round development talents,and establishing a school running system targeting at coordinated and sustainable development.
