摘要
莎士比亚著名悲剧《李尔王》中最主要的反派人物当属爱德蒙,他的一生充满传奇色彩,是一个很有魅力的典型形象。细读文本不难发现,爱德蒙在国王、公主及众多公爵伯爵中显得格格不入,究其原因是他私生子的身份。爱德蒙过低的起点与其向上攀爬的天性和野心推动他奋起反抗、暗中筹谋,极力打破惯性秩序并改善自己的前途与命运。本文以爱德蒙庶子-私生身份的“社会禁忌”为研究切口,分析爱德蒙阴诡反抗的因果,剖析其庶子-私生身份的定数、反转与文化寓意,能够加深对《李尔王》与社会大转型中的人物性格的理解。
The main villain in Shakespeare’s famous tragedy King Lear is Edmund.His life is full of legends and he is a very charm⁃ing typical image.After close reading the text carefully,it is not difficult to find that Edmund appears out of place among the king,the prin⁃cess and the dukes,because he is an illegitimate child.Edmond’s low starting point and his upward climbing ambition propelled him to re⁃sist and secretly plan to break the inertial order,he want to improve his future and destiny.This article takes the social taboo of Edmund’s illegitimate identity as a research incision,analyzes the cause and effect of Edmond’s sly rebellion,which can deepen understanding of King Lear and the characters in the social transformation.
