摘要
长期以来,《弗兰肯斯坦》在文学体裁上一直被认为是哥特式浪漫主义小说和科幻小说。学术界普遍探讨的是《弗兰肯斯坦》作为科幻小说体裁上的革新之处。18、19世纪自然科学取得了突破性进展,人类征服、改造自然的力量日益强大。玛丽·雪莱的小说《弗兰肯斯坦》用哥特式的恐怖、科幻的离奇塑造了一名疯狂科学家的形象。科学家维克托的悲剧,折射出现实社会中人们追求权力与财富,以科学为名,对自然进行无穷尽地剥削,却在这一过程中与自然分离,与社会疏离,逐渐了迷失了自己。本文探讨了《弗兰肯斯坦》作为奇幻文学的倾向和特点,从一个新的角度去理解《弗兰肯斯坦》的体裁及奇幻效果。
For a long time,Frankenstein has been regarded as a kind of Gothic romantic novel and science fiction.What is generally discussed in academia is the innovation of Frankenstein as a genre of science fiction.18.In the 19th century,natural science has made a breakthrough,and the power of human beings to conquer and transform nature has become increasingly powerful.Frankenstein,a novel by Mary Shelley,portrays the image of a mad scientist with Gothic horror and sci-fi strangeness.Victor's tragedy reflects that in the real society,people pursue power and wealth.In the name of science,they exploit nature endlessly,but in this process,they are separated from nature,alienated from society and lost themselves gradually.This paper discusses the tendency and characteristics of Frankenstein as a fantasy literature,and tries to understand the genre and fantasy effect of Frankenstein from a new perspective.
