牛津大学EMI全英文教学培训的启示与实践 被引量:7

Implication and Practice of English Medium Instruction Training from University of Oxford

摘要 随着我国高等教育“双一流”建设的稳步推进和高等教育全球化步伐的加快,国内高校的全英文专业建设和中外合作办学模式的发展对全英文教学(EMI:English Medium Instruction)提出了越来越多的需求,然而EMI教师资源的匮乏无法满足当前的教学需求,是各国高校在推行EMI课程时所面临的主要困境之一。文章以西北工业大学EMI课程培训为例介绍了牛津大学EMI中心的教学培训内容和特点,以《现代控制理论基础》全英文课程教学为例介绍了牛津大学EMI教学方法在混合式教学模式中的应用和取得的经验成果,最后介绍了从牛津大学EMI培训课程中获得的EMI课程建设的启示。 Today,there are more and more requirements of EMI courses due to the constructing all-English majors and joint educational institutions in domestic colleges with the progress of the"double first-class"and globalization development in China.However,the lack of EMI teachers'resources cannot meet the current teaching needs.It is one of the main difficulties faced by colleges and universities in carrying out EMI curriculums.This paper focuses on the Oxford EMI training course of NWPU.The teaching and training contents and characteristics of the Oxford EMI training course is introduced.Some experience and application of the taught methods used in the blended teaching of"Foundation of Modern Control Theory"are presented.Finally,the enlightenment of Oxford EMI course is proposed.
