摘要
变译理论提出,译者在翻译时,应该从译文受众出发,根据受众的需求有意识地对原文内容、表达形式等进行有效的变通。以变译理论为视域,以华语电影《芳华》的英译版本为例,考察摘译、编译、阐释等变译方法在这部电影字幕翻译中的灵活运用及其效果。将变译理论应用于中国电影的外译实践中,将会更好地提高字幕翻译的质量,赢得更多的国外受众,推动华语影视作品及中华文化的对外传播。
According to the Theory of Variation Translation,when translating,translators should consciously adapt the text in the content and expression according to the needs of the audience.Based on the Theory of Variation Translation,the flexible application of such translating techniques as abridgement,compilation,interpretation in the subtitle translation of the film44Youthv will be examined.The application of the Theory of Variation Translation will better improve the quality of subtitle translation,win more oversea audiences,and promote the spread of Chinese films and television works into the world.
