摘要
为促进科技著作翻译质量的提高,运用功能对等理论对《物种起源》周建人等译本、谢蕴贞译本、舒德干译本三个中译本就词汇、句法、修辞、文化四个方面进行比较分析发现,三个中译本风格迥异,各有优劣。功能对等理论为译本的选择提供了借鉴。
To improve the translation quality of scientific publications,the paper uses the functional equivalence theory to have a comparative analysis of ZHOU Jianren’s,XIE Yunzhen’s and SHU Degan’s translations of On the Origin of Species in terms of vocabulary,syntax,rhetorical devices and culture,and argues that three versions differ greatly in their styles and possess advantages and disadvantages respectively.Functional equivalence theory provides lessons for version options.
