摘要
学界对于"步""埠"是古汉语词还是古越语词争议颇多,结合古汉语文献、汉语方言、当今地名,试图探究"浦""步""埠"的词源,认为"浦"是古吴楚语方言词,与越语中表"渡口""竹筏"的词以及"虚(墟)"有同源关系。
there has been a lot of controversy whether ＂步＂＂埠＂ is the ancient Chinese word or Yue dialet. According to ancient Chinese literature, Chinese dialects, and the contemporary place names, this paper attempts to explore the etymology of ＂浦＂＂步＂ and ＂埠＂. It proposes that ＂浦＂ is the ancient Wu and Chu dialects, and the Vietnamese table ＂ferry＂ ＂bamboo＂ words and ＂false （HUI）＂ homology.
