Experience goods,switching costs and duopoly price competition

摘要 本文建立模型研究当消费者具有转移成本的情况下,生产经验商品的寡头企业如何进行动态价格竞争。企业可以利用消费者信息进行歧视性定价竞争,也可以进行统一定价竞争。相对于歧视性定价,统一定价时企业获得更高的均衡利润,但消费者剩余却较低。社会总福利具有歧义性,与模型中参数的取值范围有关。在每个企业既可以进行统一定价又可以进行歧视性定价的情况下,企业竞争的结果最终选择统一定价。这种定价方式对企业是有利的,但损害了消费者的利益。这对政策制定有重要的意义。 The paper builds on model that studies, condition on consumer switching cost, producers of experience goods how to make pricing competition. Firms can use information of consumers to make discriminatory pricing, also can ignore information to make uniform pricing competition. Relative to the discriminatory pricing, firms obtain higher equilibrium profits in uniform pricing, but consumers surplus is lower. Social total welfare is ambiguity, depended on the scope of parameters in the model. If each firm can make either uniform pricing or discriminatory pricing, the result of the competition is each firms choices uniform pricing. The way of pricing is beneficial for firms, but harms the interests of consumers.
