摘要
含义研究是当代语言学研究的一个热门话题。会话含义理论所带有的哲学边界有时会在丰富多变的含义运用的研究中捉襟见肘。本文拟在心智哲学视域下运用意识的属性对含义理论进行"意识重塑",对含义现象作出一些新的揭示,指出含义是语言使用主体运用含义思维得到的一种语言表达的常态;含义有四个特征:非直陈性、同一性、意向性、替代性;含义的生成和推导要运用思维的心物随附性和意识感受性;含义推导的思维规律体现了心理因果性的因果蕴涵。语言表达的这种形式不仅仅是一种信息传递工具,而且可以成为感染情绪的艺术载体;含义的运用体现了语言审美意蕴的内形式,可作为今后含义研究的一个新课题。
The issue of the use of implied meaning,which is termed as implicature in Grice' s theory of Conversational Implicature,is a hot topic in the present-day linguistics study.The philosophical characteristics intrinsic to the theory of Conversational Implicature sometimes make the theory fall short in application.The present study attempts new findings about the use of implied meaning from the perspective of philosophy of mind.The use of implied meaning is a form of habitus in linguistic expression out of the implied-meaning thinking.There are four major characteristics of implied-meaning:non-literalness,identity,intentionality,and substitutionalness.The production and calculation of an implied-meaning expression relies on the mental—physical supervenience and the qualia in the mind.The thinking on the calculation of an implied meaning is embodied in causal implication of the mental causation.Implied meaning is not only a form of information conveyance,but the carriage of artistic feelings.That implied meaning is an intrinsic form of aesthetics in language that provides a new topic in the future research of implied meaning.
