摘要
为减小激光介质热效应,进一步提高全固态1 342nm激光器的输出功率,文中研究了激光介质横向尺寸和热效应之间的关系,实验中选用复合式Nd∶GdVO4晶体为激光介质,并采用平凹谐振腔实现1 342nm波段激光.研究结果表明:热效应正比于激光介质的横向尺寸,可以通过减小激光介质横向尺寸以提高激光器输出功率.实验测得优化的激光介质最大输出功率为9.4 W,转化效率为32.4%,较前期激光器输出功率提高38%.
To reduce the thermal effects of laser medium and scale the output power of 1 342 nm all- solid-state laser, the thermal effects as function of the cross-section dimension of laser medium were investigated, the composite Nd : GdVO4 laser crystal was used as laser medium, and a plane-concave resonator was employed in experiment. The theoretical calculation showed that the thermal effects were reduced by decreasing the cross-section dimension of laser medium. The experimental results showed that the maximum output power wass 9.4 W with the conversion efficiency of 32.4%, and the output power increased by 38 % compared with previous work.
