摘要
休谟的政治哲学思想非常独特。他完全不同意当时的社会契约论思想,认为这些思想都是没有事实根据的思辨设定。根据他的人性理论,社会的产生同人们的生存直接相关,是在人性的自私和外在自然条件的有限性这样的条件限制下形成的。因此,正义原则就必须既同人们的知性和情感相联系,又同人们的财产相关。为此,休谟提出了他的财产正义观,其目的就是要维护私人财产神圣不可侵犯这一观念。而这一观念对于后来西方现代社会的建立产生了巨大的影响。这是我们在研究西方政治哲学中应该注意的。
David Hume＇s political philosophy is very unique. He totally disagrees with the theories of social contract because he considers these ideas postulated by the speculation without fact. According to his theory of human nature, the formation of mankind＇s society is directly related to people＇s existence, and linked with the human nature of selfishness and limitations of natural conditions. Therefore, the important principle of Justice in society must be linked with the people ＇ s understanding and emotions, and also associated with people＇s property. Hume presents his ideas of the property justice on the basis of his theory of human nature.Its goal is to defend the concept of private property; the private property is sacred and inviolable. Hume＇s ideas have had a huge impact on the later establishment of modern Western societies. These ideas are also what we should pay attention to in Western political philosophy.
