摘要
对于当今高等教育中的西方中心主义,有两种不同的代表性解读视角:一是新殖民主义视角,一是软实力视角。在新殖民主义的视角中,高等教育的国际化实质上是一种新的殖民形式;全球高等教育的中心—边缘模式实质上是被依附与依附、控制与被控制、知识生产与知识消费的关系;这种西方中心的态势还将持续下去。而在软实力视角中,这种关系被解读为一种吸引与被吸引的关系。超越高等教育的西方中心主义要从民族国家的软实力资源建设开始,并将民族国家的软实力资源具象化和现实化到高等教育之中。
From different perspective, scholars may produce different explanation of the Western Centrism in global higher edueation.Neo-colonialists reckon that the globaliza- tion of higher education will produce a new attached-culture and enforce hegemonies of western higher educatioon.In the soft-power perspective, scholars explain that western cen- tre in higher education relies on attraction of western higher education and culture, not com- peling.And the university rankings function as ＂agenda setting＂.The sofe-power perspec- tive is a new viewpoint which can help to find a way to keep the necessay tension between globalization and self-determination in higher education.
