产业融合背景下平台包络战略选择与竞争优势构建——基于浙报传媒的案例研究 被引量:89

Platform Envelopment Strategy Decision and Competitive Advantage Building under the Background of Industrial Convergence——A Case Study of ZDM

摘要 为什么大量企业在产业融合背景下选择平台包络战略、通过平台包络战略如何构建竞争优势、平台包络边界又如何决定,这些逻辑上一以贯之的平台实践新问题对经典理论提出了挑战。本文以"浙报传媒"这一典型平台企业为例,开展探索式理论建构分析。研究发现:①经典竞争理论无法解释产业融合背景下广泛发生的平台包络现象,这一悖论需要竞争优势理论分析范式的转变,从通过"差异"资源和能力支撑竞争的"供给端范武"转向通过"共性"用户资源支撑竞争的"需求端范式"。②与传统企业竞争优势构建不同,平台包络竞争优势是以用户为基点的"逆向"构建过程,通过"基础用户沉淀一网络效应激发一商业系统共生一主导架构锁定"机理链建立起可持续竞争优势。③不同于企业理论在交易层面以资产专用性分析组织边界,平台包络边界是商业生态系统的边界。种群"多样性"与"稳定性"的张力平衡决定了这一边界,边界决定的微观机制则是以"资源竞争"和"捕食入侵"为基础的平台"双元组织机制"。 Why do so many enterprises choose platform envelopment strategy under the background of industrial convergence? How to build competitive advantage through platform envelopment? And how to define the boundary of platform envelopment? These questions of new platform practices challenge the classic theories.This paper conducts exploratory analysis taking a typical platform enterprise——Zhejiang Daily Media(ZDM) as an example.Our research finds that:①Classic competitive theories can’t explain the phenomenon of platform envelopment.The paradox need to swift the paradigm used in analyzing the competitive advantage from supplybased perspective using unique resources and capabilities to ensure competitive advantage to demand-based perspective using common users to ensure competitive advantage.②Different from traditional competitive advantage building,platform envelopment strategy build competitive advantage is a reverse constructing process based on users,through mechanism chain of basic user deposit-network effect stimulate-business ecosystem symbiosis-dominant architecture lock-in.③Unlike firm theory using asset specificity in transaction to define the organizational boundary,the boundary of platform envelopment is the boundary of business ecosystem,which is decided by balancing the tension between diversity and stability.The micro-mechanism of defining boundary is the platform dual mechanism based on resource competition and pray invasion.
