摘要
翻译技术是一柄双刃剑。一方面,翻译技术为译员、翻译公司、翻译客户等带来了种种好处和便利;另一方面,翻译技术也会导致译文工业化、译员成本增加、相对收入减少等问题,并可能引发版权法律纠纷。评价翻译技术时,既要看到其积极作用,也要认识到其存在的种种弊端。
Translation technology is a double-edged sword. On one hand, translation technology brings forth many advantages and conveniences for translators, translation agencies, and translation cli- ents. On the other hand, translation technology may bring forth industrialized translations, increase trans- lators＇ cost, and lower translators＇ relative income. It may also incur legal disputes over copyright. When assessing translation technology, its positive sides should be emphasized, but its drawbacks should not be overlooked.
