The effect of graphite particle size on the friction and wear properties of Cu Fe matrix friction materials has been investigated. The results show that, with decreasing graphite particle size, the hardness of the material increases and the strength decreases, while the wear rate of the friction material and matching material increases. It has also been found that the coefficients of friction ( μ ) changes slightly with decreasing graphite particle size.
