摘要
"土洋体育"之争是近代体育史上的重要事件。论辩双方虽然在体育发展方针上有许多分歧,但在争论中也表现出了不少共通之处,包括都在使用外国传入的"体育"概念、都主张体育应服务于国家的富强、都认同科学及科学化的理念、都试图加强各自在教育体制内的地位等等。这些共通之处不仅反映了当时人们对于体育和武术的普遍心理,更可借此看出社会文化氛围与国家局势对体育事业的强大制约作用,相关的讨论当能有助于深化对近代中国体育发展历程的理解。
Local--foreign conflict in sport was an important event in the history of modern Chi nese sports. Although both sides in the debate has many differences on sports development strategy, but also showed a lot in common, including the introduction of the foreign concept ＂sports＂, advocating sports should serve in the country＇s prosperity, recognition of science and scientific ideas, and strengthening their status within the education system and so on. The common views not only reflect the general opinions on sports and martial art, hut also the restrictions of socio-- cultural atmosphere and the countr＇s situation to sport. Related discussions will be able to help deepen the understanding of the development of modern Chinese sports.
