A Critical Review of Electronic Feedback in Second Language Writing

摘要随着计算机软件和硬件的发展,计算机在二语写作反馈生成与传递中的作用日益增大。本文从写作讨论会式的反馈、自动作文反馈和语料库为基础的反馈这三种以计算机为中介的模式入手,探讨二语写作中的电子反馈的研究现状与存在问题。利用电子反馈对学生作文进行评估和反馈是一个复杂综合的过程,今后的电子反馈研究应综合考虑反馈与写作发展、写作教学、语境等诸多因素的相互影响。 With the rapid advancement of computer hardware and software, the role of computer in both delivering and mediating feedback has become more important. Key areas of electronic feedback in second language writing are examined from three aspects： computer-conferencing, automated feedback and corpora-based feedback. The research shows that it is complicated to evaluate students＇ compositions and to provide feedback via computer. Future research into electronic feedback should seek to integrate feedback with writing development, instruction and context.
