摘要
专门用途英语(ESP)教学是大学英语教学改革的方向之一。本研究以自主学习理论和交互式阅读教学观为理论基础,采用语篇信息分析方法设计了自主学习环境中的ESP阅读课堂。该设计强调作为课堂主体的学生在教师指导下,实施“自上而下”和“自下而上”交互式阅读与阅读效果评估的教学理念。研究进行了基于“法律信息处理系统语料库”的语篇信息教学实践,发现课堂上学生能充分运用语篇信息分析方法进行法律英语语篇的交互式阅读,认知语篇并建构意义,证明了该设计的可操作性。学生阅读后的自我评估也验证了该设计具有实用性和实效性。体现了交互式ESP阅读课堂中教师的引领作用和学生的主体作用。
English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is one of the orientations for the reform of college English teaching in China. Based on the theories of autonomous learning and interactive reading teaching, this study adopts discourse information analysis to design interactive ESP reading classes. The design places emphasis on the idea that students, guided by teachers, should do and evaluate ESP reading in the interactive process by employing both "top-down" and "bottom-up" techniques. Through the application of the interactive approach in the legal English reading class, the study finds; that the students can perform discourse information analysis to understand the reading text and construct its meaning. 'The teaching practice proves that the design is feasible and practical, which gives full play to teachers' and students' respective roles in the interactive ESP reading.
