During the immediate years after the end of the second World War, Chinese language schools and education in Thailand had a rapidly and unprecedented development. The main reasons were, first that the Free Thai Movement government adjusted and loosened control policy towards Chinese language schools, second that after establishment of Sino-Thai diplomatic relationship in 1946, Chinese government was playing an active role in promoting Chinese language education, and third that giving the priority to more important and difficult internal and foreign issues, the Free Thai Movement government had paid no much attention to management of Chinese schools, so that Chinese society had much freedom in promoting Chinese language education.
