摘要
能源是一个国家赖以生存和发展的重要资源,充足的能源保障意味着经济长期增长获得了稳定的动力来源,能源因此成为显示政治和经济力量的硬通货,国家能源政策随之也带有战略含义。在日益相互依赖的当今世界,中国能源供应的外部环境无法摆脱美国因素,美国也无法忽略中国能源需求激增衍生出的外交、安全、环境等各方面的问题。能源已成为中美关系中的一个重要议题,要求两国合作应对,共谋双边关系大局。
Energy is a critical resource which is indispensable for a country＇s survival and development. Since sufficient energy supply can provide stable driving force to the sustainable economic growth, energy becomes hard currency which embodies the political and economic power. Thus, national energy policy is logically given strategic significance. In an increasingly interdependent world, neither can China＇s energy supply in the external context not be divorced from the United States, nor can the U.S. neglect the diplomatic, security and environmental problems deriving from the surge of China＇s energy consumption. Energy has become an important issue in Sino-US relations, which requires cooperation between the two countries for the sake of overall bilateral relations.
