摘要
西方历史上的几次翻译大潮不仅推动了西方文化发展,而且还催生了许多译学思想。西方的第一个翻译高潮是古希腊罗马文化时期的翻译潮,其间的翻译活动主要是处于强势的古希腊文化向处于弱势的罗马文化的输入,这次翻译高潮促使西方古代译学思想萌发,并且深受当时的哲学及美学思想的影响。对西方古代译论时期的历史背景和译论发展轨迹进行了阐述,以期清晰地呈现西方古代译学的历史源头及其哲学和美学特点。
Translation practice has a long history in the West, which contributes to the evolution of translation studies featuring philosophical and aesthetic ideas in the west. This article gives a brief account of the thoughts on translation in the ancient times of the West before SAD, covering the philosophical and aesthetic background of the time and several most important scholars＇ ideas.
