摘要
通过比较11个情态动词在CLEC非英语专业学生四、六级考试作文子语料库与LOCNESS语料库中的使用情况,可以发现中国非英语专业学生在四、六级考试作文中过多使用了can,shall,shou ld,w ill,must,dare和need;而情态动词cou ld,m ight和wou ld则使用不足,并分别分析了导致过多使用和使用不足的原因。
By comparing the use of 11 model verbs by non -English majors in college English Band -4 and Band -6 based on CLEC and LOCNESS as corpus, we can find that the Chinese non -English majors overuse can , shall , should , will , must , dare and need in their compositions, but seldom use could, might and would. This paper analyses the cause.
