摘要
许渊冲教授的译诗方法论"三化"是经过其多年实践及总结前人经验和理论的基础上得出的适合中诗英译的文学翻译方法;"意美"在"三美"中居于首位,是许教授进行文学翻译的不懈追求。本文试通过对许教授几首唐诗英译本的分析来探讨"三化"是如何促进原诗"意美"表达的。
Xu Yuanchong＇s ＂three methods of transmission＂ concerning literary translation are suitable to be applied to translate Chinese ancient poems into English as these methods are formed on the bases of former ones＇ experience and theories together with Mr. Xu＇s own long-time practice. ＂Beauty in sense＂ is the most important one of ＂three beauties＂ and it is the continuous pursuit of Mr. Xu for him to conduct literary translation. This article tries to explore how ＂three methods of transmission＂ could facilitate the expression of ＂beauty in sense＂ through the analysis of Mr. Xu＇s English versions of several Tang poems.
