Online Teacher Professional Development(oTPD):A New Issue to Teacher Education

摘要 在倡导学校变革的时代,教师的专业发展被视为提高学生成就、促进学校乃至教育变革的关键。近年来,教师在线专业发展(oTPD)作为一种转变教师专业发展传统模式的新模式,得到了众多研究者的普遍关注。本文对oTPD进行了初步界定,探讨了其产生的背景,分析了它的潜在优势与面临的挑战,最后讨论了该领域需要进一步研究的问题。 Teacher professional development has been viewed as a key to success for improving students' achievements and facilitating school and education innovation in the changing world. Recently, as a new alternative model to conventional teacher professional development, online Teacher Professional Development (oTPD) is becoming a new issue of concern for more and more researchers. This paper provides a simple definition of oTPD, explores its origins, analyzes its potential advantages and challenges, and finally discusses some issues needed to be further explored in the area.
