摘要
                
                    针对自由曲面数控加工中端铣刀与工件的过切现象,提出了基于小波分析的过切故障监控方法。通过典型过切故障试验,结合小波能量法和小波变换良好的时频定位功能,对过切发生时与切削体积相对应的切削功率临界变化点进行了定量描述,进而在时域上对过切发生的时间准确定位,表明应用小波分析方法可以对端铣刀曲面数控加工的过切故障实施监控。
                
                This paper focuses on the undercut failure between end mill and work-piece in CNC machining of free surface, and presents a new methodology to detect the undercut failure based on the Wavelet analysis. By the typical experiments of the undercut failure, the electric current signal of the spindle motor was monitored and analyzed based on the Daubechies Wavelet transform. The Wavelet smoothing of the monitored signal was used to extract the frequency-band feature. The critical cutting power corresponding to the undercut failure was captured and the undercut feature was extracted with the time-frequency tracking capability of Wavelet transform. Finally, the occurring time of the undercut failure was exactly recognized. The experimental results demonstrated that the undercut failure in CNC free-surface milling could be detected with Wavelet analysis.
