摘要
"科玄论战"是现代中国文化、思想史上一个富有象征意味的文化事件,"科玄论战"的背后隐藏着科、玄两派对现代化过程中理性与价值效用认识的分歧。在论战中,科学派高扬科学的大旗,促进了科学意识的普及和科学教育的发展,具有巨大的启蒙作用,但科学派将科学奉若神明,显现出"科学万能"的意愿。玄学派对于科学的价值缺乏足够的认识,但他们对全盘西化的警醒、对科学、理性、知识应用于人生之域有限性的强调以及对人文价值的重视对当前我国的现代化建设和教育发展无疑同样具有启蒙意义。
In Chinese modern cultural and ideological history, ＂the debate between science and metaphysics＂ has its symbolized meaning and reveals the bifurcation of the two schools regarding the conception of the ration and value efficiency in modern progressing. In the debate, scientific school accelerates the development of science and has the enlightening effect. However, scientific school thinks science is omnipotent and makes a point that science can solve everything. Meta- physical school does not have a full understanding of science, but it alerts the complete westernization and emphasizes the humanities values. In that aspect, metaphysical school also has the enlightening function for the modernization of our country and the development of our education.
