Combustion Synthesis of Ultra-Fine β-SiC Powder

摘要 以碳粉、硅粉为原料,以聚四氟乙烯为添加剂,在氮气气氛下采用燃烧合成工艺制备出了高纯β相碳化硅微粉。扫描电镜观察粉体颗粒平均粒径约为249nm,呈等轴球形。添加剂含量在5%以上时,均可以得到单相β-SiC;随着添加剂含量提高,产物中剩余碳增多,粉体颗粒有长大趋势;改变氮气压力对产物结构没有显著影响,但可以提高燃烧速率。 An combustion synthesis process has been developed for the synthesis of ultra-fine β-SiC powder under nitrogen atmosphere with Si, C and (-C2F4-)n. as raw materials. Microstructures of the combustion products were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The crystallites of combusition products are global and the average diameters are about 249nm. Pure and ultra-fine β-SiC powders were obtained when the amount of additive is more than 5%. The amount of carbon in the combustion product increases with increasing of additive content and results in large grain size. Increasing of nitrogen pressure can implore the velocity of the combustion synthesis, but has no influence on the phase of the combustion products.
