汉代是中国古代养老制度的形成和发展过程中的一个重要时期。由于汉代实行“以孝治天下”的施政方针，制定和推行了许多养老方面的政策和法令，诸如受鬻法、王杖令等的，建立起了一套较为完备的养老制度。当时社会上养老、敬老风气盛行，老年人享有较高的社会地位。但是，如同中国历史上许多政策、法令与其实施情况总会有差距一样，
To study the issue of the aged support in farmer family of Han Dynasty, we must lay emphasis on the financial conditions of farmer family incomes and expense. From the formula of incomes and expenses, the lower tax policy of Han govemment fails to deal with the aged living. The land issue is the key to solve the problem of the aged support.
