The survey on attitudes,eating habits and awareness of nutrition of Uighur students in Xinjiang Medical University

摘要 目的:调查新疆医科大学维吾尔族大学生营养知识的掌握情况及对合理营养的态度和行为情况,以便指导学生正确的饮食行为,改正不良饮食习惯,提高学生营养知识水平。方法:采用自行设计的问卷调查表,随机抽取254名在校维吾尔族大学生进行营养知识、态度、膳食行为调查。结果:男女大学生对营养知识的态度积极,其中女生营养知识得分高于男生;大部分学生将食物的营养价值做为选择食物的依据;绝大多数学生想了解营养知识,并愿意改正不良饮食习惯。结论:新疆医科大学维吾尔族大学生常识性营养知识得分较高,饮食行为较合理,但相关的营养知识缺乏,应加强饮食行为的正确引导,提高学生营养知识水平,并端正营养态度。 Objective: We conducted this survey to assess the Uighur studentsfs knowledge on nutrition, the attitudes toward healthy eating and eating behavior in Xinjiang Medical University. Methods. Two hundred and fifty randomly selected students were enrolled in this study and were surveyed by a self-designed questionnaire comprised of nutrition knowledge, attitudes, and eating habits. Results. Both female and male studentsr attitudes on nutrition were active. Compared with male students, female students scored higher at nutrition knowledge. Most students chose food according to nutritional values, would like to enlarge their knowledge on nutrition and willing to correct bad eating habits. Conclusion. The Uighur students in Xinjiang Medical University scored high on nutrition knowledge and eating behaviors are more reasonable, however some level of unawareness of knowledge related to nutrition are revealed. So it is necessary to lead students to better eating habits, balanced nutritional intake and increased knowledge on nutrition and right attitude.
