摘要
过去30多年来中国城市经历了飞速的改造与扩张,但普通市民使用的城市公共空间却并没有得到应有的改善。公共空间的开发,设计与管理中存在着3个主要问题:“橱窗化”反映在政府开发的市中心广场或绿地中,其布点策略与做作的纪念碑形式使市民难于使用。“私有化”描述了开发商如何为了在自己的项目中实现眼前的最大利润,不惜破坏所在城市大环境中的公共生活。而“贵族化”则暴露了各类新建公共空间中忽视中低收入市民需求的倾向。
In the past throe decades cities n China have undergone rapid renewal and expansion. However, public spaces used by average urbanites have not been improved proportionally. Three major problems are dentified in the development, design and management off new urban space:"Window- dressing" can be found in huge squares and parks developed by the government.Their locationsand pretentious monumentality have refrained residents from using them. "Privatization describes how private developers pursue maximum short-term profits at the cost of public fe in surrounding urban environment Gentrification" indicates the tendency to ignore the needs of mid- and low-income residents in various kinds of new public spaces.
