摘要
本文探讨了中国英语新闻标题的缩略与拼缀翻译法、文化内涵词语的异化翻译法和各种学科词语借用的隐喻翻译法。通过大量例句分析,说明翻译策略与方法的恰当运用使中国英语在对外文化交流中获得了理想的接受效果,发挥了不可取代的媒介作用。
The present paper deals with the shortening and blending methods of translating news headlines, the method of alienation for culture-loaded words and the use of metaphors borrowed from various disciplines and fields in the course of translating. By analyzing examples from China Daily, Newsweek and Beijing Review, the paper intends to illustrate that the appropriate translating strategies and methods render China English well accepted by readers both at home and abroad and make it become an indispensable medium in cross-cultural communication.
