摘要
从Austin和Searle的言语行为理论到Grice会话含意理论提出,再从古典格氏理论到新格氏会话含意理论,哲学家与语言学们关注的或是言语行为本身,或是受话者对话语的理解,对含有交际意图的言语行为的产生机制及发话者发出话语之前的思维过程却很少涉及。然而会话交际过程中发话者是信息的取舍的主体,其交际意图对信息取舍具有支配作用,在一次完整会话之中,发话者的主动性在对于会话成功具有决定性作用。
The speakers＇initiative has long been ignored in the study of conversational implicature by both philosophers and linguists, in place of which they concerned most the way how existing speeches are interpreted by the hearers. We speak with certain intentions; therefore, a conversation would succeed only when the hearers have grasped these pre - set intentions. Based on a thorough analysis on the decisive role the speakers＇conversational intentions play in the selection of information in their utterances, this paper tries to present us with a clear view of the complete conversational process, in which it emphasizes the initiative of the speakers.
