摘要
苏曼殊是清末民初重要的诗歌翻译家,其语言的晦涩受到许多学者的非议。然而,语言的晦涩揭示了他独特的译诗选择和价值取向:非功利的文学观,非政治化的主题选择和典雅的译诗语言追求。他的译诗代表了近代译诗从政治化模式向艺术化模式的转变与过渡。
Su Manshu was a renowned verse translator during the later period of Qing Dynasty and the earlier years of Republic of China, whose translation has been subjected to the hostile opinion of many scholars because of its obscurity. However, such obscurity serves as a helpful guide for us to understand Su's particularity in his verse translation and value orientation, that is, the non -utility inclination, nonpolitieization topic choices and persistent pursuit in refined translation language. Furthermore, translation practices represented the transformation and transition of modern verse translation from the politicizing mode to the artisticizing mode.
