摘要
称谓指的是人们在日常交往之中所采用的彼此之间的称呼语。汉英语言文化的差异导致两种称谓系统的不同。文章探讨了汉英称谓语在社交称谓、性别称谓和亲属称谓方面的异同。只有了解交际中的文化差异并把它运用于实际的社会交际和翻译活动,才可以帮助我们提高口头或书面交流的质量,更好地促进文化的交流和跨文化的交际。
Addressing, the way that people call each other in their daily life, is an important part of language communication and is different in the Chinese and English cultures. The paper probes into the similarity and difference of addressing in Chinese and English in social addressing, sexual addressing and relative addressing. As long as we understand the cultural difference and use it in practical social communication and translation, we can improve the oral and written forms and promote inter - culture communication.
