摘要
本文认为,在“十五”时期不平凡的五年里,我国综合国力显著提高,人民生活水平和生活质量不断提高,中国的国际地位明显提高;“十一五”时期,我国经济还将处在增长的上升期,存在保持经济较快平稳发展的诸多有利条件,国内市场需求潜力巨大,发展资金供给充足,人力资本快速增加,中国经济快速增长势头不会停止。文章指出,“十一五”时期我国也面临许多矛盾和问题,一是资源环境矛盾凸显,二是社会矛盾凸显,三是国际竞争压力加大,四是经济安全问题突出;必须立足科学发展,着力自主创新,完善体制机制,开创全面建设小康社会的新局面。
The author believes that, during the Tenth Five Year Period, China＇s overall national strength and the living standard has increased markedly, and China＇s international standing has risen still further. During the Eleventh Five Year Period, China will still in the rising stage, and there are lots of beneficial conditions for the rapid and stable economic development, for example, the plenty of money supply for the development, the huge potential market, and the large number of outstanding people coming to the fore in all fields. The rapid growth of China＇s economy will not stop. The author points out that there will be still some problems and contradictions with China during the Eleventh Five Year Period, for example, the contradictions between the usage of resources and the environment, the social contradictions, the pressure of international competition and the problem of economic security.

吴树青（1932-），男，江苏省江阴市人，著名经济学家，北京大学教授，博士生导师，北京大学教育基金会名誉理事长，中国老教授协会会长，北京经济学会会长，教育部社会科学委员会主任、经济学教育指导委员会主任、思想政治理论课教育指导委员会主任，中宣部马克思主义理论研究和建设工程《马克思主义政治经济学教材编写课题组》首席专家，曾任第八届、第九届全国人大常委会常委，全国人大财经委员会委员，北京大学校长，中国人民大学副校长，北京大学教育基金会理事长，长期从事政治经济学教学和研究，主要著作有《政治经济学》、《中国社会主义建设》、《邓小平理论概论》、《中国宏观经济管理》、《邓小平理论与当代中国经济学》、《吴树青自选集》等。
