摘要
“茶”在上古、中古的名称分别为“檟”、“皋卢”,本文以文献材料为依据,证之以现代南方诸民族语言群最新语料,指出“茶”的早期名称“檟”、“皋卢”来自古代南方百越(侗台)语。
The words for tea were Jia（槚） and Gaolu（皋卢） in old Chinese and middle Chinese respectively. According to ancient documents and the new evidences from minority languages in southern China, the paper indicates that Jia （槚） and Gaolu （皋卢）, the early words for tea in Chinese, were from old Tai-Kadai, the ancient Baiyue（百越） languages in southern China.
