Objective To investigate the susceptibility of Candida albicans cultured with Fluconazole and Itraconazole. Methods M27-A microdilution method based on NCCLS was used to determined the susceptibility of 19 Candida albicans isolates and 4 ATCC cultured with Fluconazole and Itraconazole. Results 7 Fluconazole-resistance isolates, 8 susceptible isolates, 4 susceptible dose dependent(SDD) isolates, 9 Itraconazole-resistance isolates, 8 susceptible isolates, and 2 SDD isolates were detected from 19 clinical Candida albicans isolates. Conclusion It suggested that M27-A method based on NCCLS is suitable to examin the susceptibility of Candida albicans, and the obvious resistance to Fluconazole and Itraconazole of Candida albican and cross-resistance between Fluconazole and Itraconazole were found in this study.
