This article explains the unique ideological meaning of Marcuse's aesthetic theory by analyzing the role and function of the concept of 'aesthetic form' in Marcuse's formalistic aesthetic system, focusing on the aspects of art's essence, art's standard, art's feature, art's function and art's labor.
