摘要
中英文标志用语在社会上使用十分广泛,但不难发现,不少标志用语的译文存在各种各样的问题。就目前社会上标志用语汉英翻译中的常见缺陷进行分析,并就标志用语汉英翻译的基本要求及如何提高译文质量作一初步探讨。
Chinese and/or English placards or bills are widely used in public places. With an examination of some general defects in the translation of these placards and bills from Chinese into English, this article discusses the basic requirements for the translation of these texts.
