In the intellectual and information society, humanities and the idea of a modern university are inextricably linked. A university is supposed to assume the role of inheriting cultural tradition and criticizing the political, cultural and other aspects of society. To train a student is to promote his self-knowledge, self-perfection, and self-development. This is called 'maturity' education, which is synonymous with broad-base education. It is primary, whereas specialized education is secondary. People may be selective in their acceptance of a certain culture, minor or mainstream, but a university must be receptive of different cultures and turn itself into a free-thinking land endowed with varied spiritual resources.
