Objective: To explore the role of health education in stroke unit, in order to attach medical operator importance to health education. Methods: 142 patients in stroke unit is the experimental group which adopted standardized health education besides traditional therapy, while 142 cases in general nerve internal medical ward of no health education is the control group. The fine rate of questionnaire about stroke prevention treatment knowledge and the proportion of joining in healing therapy have been compared in the two groups. Meanwhile, the damage of nerve function and curative effect were evaluated. Results: There was significant difference in The fine rate of questionnaire about stroke prevention treatment knowledge and the proportion of joining in healing therapy between the two groups( P <0.01). The nerve function grave of the two groups descended distinctly, but the experimental group descended more distinctly and had better curative effect. There was significant difference between the two groups ( P < 0.01). Conclusion: Health education in stroke unit can promote its development and improve curative effect.
