摘要
宗教信仰是文化适应的一个重要内容 ,同时又对文化适应的其他方面产生重大而深远的影响。研究东南亚华人的文化适应 ,不能不研究他们的宗教信仰。本文分析三种类型的宗教信仰者的文化适应情况 ,他们分别是 :华人穆斯林、华人基督徒、华人传统宗教信仰者。笔者发现 ,三种类型的宗教信仰者 ,其文化适应的方向是大相径庭的 :华人穆斯林文化适应的方向是本土化 ,华人基督徒文化适应的方向是西方化 ,华人传统宗教信仰者文化适应的方向是中华化。东南亚华人如果要保持中华文化 ,保持本民族的文化认同 ,提倡信仰华人传统宗教 ,可能是一个很好的选择。
Religious belief is an important content of acculturation, and it affects other aspects of acculturation as well. We have to probe the religious belief of ethnic Chinese if we want to study their acculturation in Southeast Asia. The paper will analyze acculturation of three types of believers: ethnic Chinese Muslims, ethnic Chinese Christians, and believers of ethnic Chinese traditional religion. There is a great difference in the direction of acculturation of the three groups. The direction of acculturation of ethnic Chinese Muslims, ethnic Chinese Christians and believers of ethnic Chinese traditional religion is naturalization, westernization and Chinese orientation respectively. If ethnic Chinese in Southeast Asia hope to preserve Chinese culture and maintain their cultural identity, it would be good option to advocate ethnic Chinese traditional religion.
