摘要
城市的崛起和城市化进程的加速是20世纪90年代城市小说兴起的现实基础;消费文化和后现代主义的勃兴是城市小说兴起的文化背景。城市小说以城市生活为透视点,发现并提出城市人在走向现代文明历程中所必须重新审视的生存和价值问题,同构性地刻画了中国城市向现代化演进的轨迹。
The upgrade of cities and the speedup of urbanization laid the realistic foundation for the rise of city novels in 1990s; while the boom of the consumptive culture and the post-modernism in China provided the cultural background for the appearance of city novels. From the perspective of city life, the city novel reveals and points out the issues concerning the survival and human value that city dwellers must reconsider in the process of modern civilization. Meanwhile, it depicts clearly the track of the modernization of Chinese cities.
