摘要
多义性是自然语言中很普遍的现象,一直是语言学家研究的重要课题。本文着重概述规则多义性与不规则多义性的划分、多义性的结构主义语义学研究及认知语言学视野下的多义性生成机制和习得研究。同时,对各种研究进行了简要评述。最后,作者提出中国学者和语言教师应把认知语言学的多义性研究成果运用于我们的语言教学,以帮助学习者更好地习得和运用多义词。
Polysemy is ubiquitous in natural language and therefore deserves linguists' attention.The present paper makes a survey of polysemy research abroad,focusing on the demarcation between regular and irregular polysemy,its research in structural semantics,and its generating mechanisms and acquisition research in cognitive linguistics.Meanwhile,the author's comments on the aspects under discussion are followed.Finally the author suggests that Chinese scholars and language teachers should apply the findings of polysemy research in cognitive linguistics to language teaching so as to help learners to acquire and use polysemous words better.
