摘要
影视字幕翻译经常会面临文化差异方面的问题,归化和异化是处理这些问题时常用的策略。本文对电影《一九四二》的字幕英译进行个案分析,介绍归化和异化策略的具体运用;并提出在对外推介中国电影时,应该首先考虑使用异化译法,更多地向西方介绍原汁原味的中华文化。
Caption translation in films is often met with the problem in cultural difference, which can be dealt with by domestication and alienation strategies. On the basis of analyzing the caption translation of Film 1942, the paper introduces the application of the two strategies in detail, and suggests alienation is the first choice in translating Chinese films.
