The development of modern science and technology exhibits two characteristics: high integration and high specialization. In this thesis, the author distinguishes the sport items like long jump, and proposes the new technical term of 'grip' take-off in Flop high jump on the basis of many years' experiences in coaching high level high-jump athletes. This is a further perception of high-jump features, and also a supplement to the 'cling' take-off technique mentioned in existing track and field teaching materials. The author analyzes the difference between 'grip' and 'cling',and indicates that some excellent high-jump athletes can not achieve good results due to unsuccessful 'grip' take-off.The word 'grip' literally means imposing a force from outside to the center.Since it enhances and emphasizes the 'back to front' moving direction relative to the take-off point and the exertion process of horizontal buffering,it allows human body to improve take-off efficiency by better use of speed, and thus minimizes the injury caused by wrong moving direction or action at the moment of take-off.Therefore,it helps athletes better exert the advantages of Flop high jump.
