摘要
奥斯丁对于18世纪“日趋流行”的书信体小说传统的承传,既是出于她本人对这种形式的着迷,也是她写作策略的主动选择,更是书信的特殊功能所决定的。本文以文本细读、个案分析的方式,从叙述的替代物、人物描写的媒介、故事发展的催化剂三方面论述书信作为对话的书面形式在小说《傲慢与偏见》中为透视主题所起的作用,从新的角度领略经典之魅力。
Jane Austen was greatly influenced by the epistolary tradition gradually popularized in the 18th century. The inheritance of it was determined not only by her fancy for this format, but also by her initiative in the choice of writing strategy as well as the special functions and priorities of letter writing.
