摘要
美国现代著名诗人肯尼斯.雷克思罗斯对中国诗人杜甫推崇备至,他认为杜甫是历史上最伟大的非史诗、非戏剧性诗人。本文以两位诗人的生平以及作品为依据,挖掘雷克思罗斯喜爱杜甫的深层原因。文章主要从他们相似的性格爱好、博大的仁爱精神和强烈的社会责任感等方面进行比较分析。
Kenneth Rexroth,an important modern American poet,showed great interest in Chinese poet Tu Fu.He considered Tu Fu the greatest nonepic,nondramatic poet who ever lived.Based on their poems and life experiences,the article tries to explore the reasons why Rexroth loved Tu Fu.It makes a comparative study of Kenneth Rexroth and Tu Fu in the following three aspects: their similar character and interest,their benevolence and their strong sense of social responsibility.
