摘要
在明万历后期至天启的二十余年间,江南地区集中问世了四部米芾轶事小说集,这些纂著的编者、作序跋者、校阅者基本全是江南士人.晚明江南士人热衷于辑纂米芾轶事,主要出于如下动机:米芾的处世哲学契合其人格追求,借米芾轶事辑撰以实现其立言不朽的人生价值,米芾轶事搜辑具有其他传统撰述方式所不具备的传播优势.米芾轶事集的叙事艺术也颇富特色:其选材重心与编排体例突显强烈的叙事旨趣,其题材选择追求传奇性与诙谐性,其情节设计善作铺垫与逆转.这些作品从史学标准看尽管存在诸多不足,但不应妨碍对其文学价值的探究.
During the 20 years from late Wanli to Tianqi in the Ming dynasty,four anthologies of Mi Fu’s anecdotal stories were successively published in Jiangnan area.The compilers,authors of prefaces and postscripts,and proofreaders of these works are mostly Jiangnan scholars.Scholars of JiangnanIn in the late Ming dynasty are keen on compiling Mi Fu’s anecdotes,mainly out of the ensuing motives:Mi Fu’s life philosophy being in line with their personality pursuits,they can realize their immortal life values by compiling Mi Fu’s anecdotes,for it has advantages in communication than other traditional writing methods.Mi Fu’s anthologies boast their own distinctive narrative art:there is a strong narrative purport in the focus of material selection and arrangement style;the themes selected are legendary and humorous;the plots are designed for paving the way for and reversing the stories.Though there are defects in these works examined by the historical standards,nothing can virtually hinder the exploration of their literary values.
